New Year’s Eve in Agde

Written by Jenn

Thought you would all enjoy some pictures of the New Year’s Eve costume party we attended this year in Agde. Our friends Delphine and Fred organized it with some of their friends. They rented a hall and supplied all the goodies for us to eat. It was a blast!

The food, as expected with the French, was delicious. There were all sorts of salads (green, pasta, potato) available, many finger foods (a variety of veggie platters and chips), foie gras and fig confit in the pain surprise (surprise bread), slices of salmon on fresh cut baguettes, and fresh oysters ordered in from Normandy.

The music was fantastic and the company friendly and so much fun. To drink, there were alcoholic punch, wine, water and soda. Champagne was brought out at midnight.

Our family stayed till 1 am into the new year dancing. The children really enjoyed themselves too, running around with their friends, eating the snacks available, and dancing to their favourite songs.

The party continued on the next day when most of the guests returned to help finish up the leftovers and visit some more. There were even a couple poker tables set up for the men. It was a fantastic way to start our 2012 new year!

Wishing you all a very Happy 2012!!
